Weekend plans

My weekend is pretty packed: Have a lot of movies and novels that I want to finish up from my backlog : Movies - Main Aisa Hi Hoon (hindi), 6'2", Arindhum Ariyamalaum, Karka Kasadara, Jithan (All tamil) and listen to a lot of new music thats been released (hindi) in the past few days - Dus, D, Fareb, Sehar, Mashooka, Double Cross and Men Not Allowed. Novels - Angels and Demons.

And have a Benz driving event to attend today afternoon in the Chicago Race Course. Plus the usual Volleyball and Table Tennis. We have the annual Volleyball league at the temple going on. I already missed practise today morning at 6am - just couldnt get up that early after watching Naina.

And apart from these, have to connect my new hard disk (got a damn good deal that I couldnt resist - 160 GB for $30!). Plus I have to pull out all the data from my ex-roomie's hard disk.

Might go to Sound Bar tonight.

What are yours?

Looks like an action packed one.

Sunday - regular tennis sessions in the morning & the S'pore Indian Blogger meet in the evening.

IBH,

It was indeed a packed weekend. Havent been to an AMF before. I usually go to the Brunswick Zone.
So you doing your MBA or something like that? Weekend classes? I heard Deception Point isnt as good as the other two, how do you like it?

Kaps,
Guitar and the Keyboard? Cool! Did you learn the Keyboard yourself? I have a keyoard but havent really gotten to learn it well. I should get in a strict regiment of practise on a regular basis, I think. I will come checkout your blog to find out about the blogger meet.

Venky,
Havent been to the Pittsburgh temple, should plan on doing that sometime. There was an Ethiopian Restuarant here in Chicago, called Addis Ababa. All their dishes were served with a Dosa-like dish.

Krish,
Thank you! Oh I see, I am sure (from what I am reading from your mails and posts on your blog) you are looking forward to get out of this place :-)

Harish,
Havent seen it yet. Maybe sometime this week. So you think it's a masala movie? That will do for me, to watch it! :-)

Magnus Astrum (aka GC Anand),
Thanks, yes indeed was pretty packed. 160 GB is actually nothing nowadays. This is actually on top of the 200 GB I already have! :-)
Didnt realize we might have an online identity crisis... :-)

Where did you get that deal - techbargains or deals2buy? Sounds amazing - is the offer still there?

The Sound Bar place looks really futuristic.

Satz,
Compusa. It was a pretty good deal. I think, this deal was effective during the Memorial weekend time. I think, I saw in my RSS Reader that this one had expired already. You can check in their site.

Sound bar was really good. Before I left for the Disco, I was thinking of coming back early (for a Volleyball game the next day morning), but once in I didnt want to come back until 2 in the morning (I had to get up at 5 the next day)! There were quite a few desi chicks in the club, which made it worthwhile!

Art,
It was pretty packed! Didnt have time to do a lot of the stuff, but enjoyed it very much.
Listened to all the music, my Dell DJ has them all for continued listening pleasure for the entire week. Will come and check out your blog to see what you did.

Chakra,
Went well. Angels & Demons - Thats what I heard from others too. Havent really got to start it off yet, hope to do that this week.
Join the gang, CBSE rocks!

IBH,
Got hurt? Equestrian or from the Bowling?
I found out that there's an AMF right close to my place. Might go check it out soon. Equestrian classes - Should be fun! I went horse riding recently (my first) and enjoyed it really.
Deception Point - I think the other 3 novels dont compare well against the Da Vinci Code.

Suri,
Thanks! I wanted to find out their side of the story about this complete mess. Thanks for letting me know about this. Did you find this out from eknazar.com?

IBH,
I thought when you said Equestrian earlier, that spelt it out very well :-)

The Balaji temple is the one I would love to visit and it is one of my "have to tick this one off my list" things too since I have more or less visited temples in many of the states here that I have travelled to (except perhaps those in Texas, Atlanta and So. Cal.)

Ok. First, I have to find a good deal on a processor + motherboard combo. then let me come up with buying a harddisk.

Sound bar does sound like a swank place.
Any serious drinking?

Poonam,
Yeah saw what it was. Thats right, It's really good. I liked some songs in D too.

Thennavan,
So is the Lemont Temple. Both are equally good. But food-wise (which is the main driving factor for me to go to the temple), I think sometimes the Lemont temple is better :-)

Surya,
Oh I see. Eknazar is a neat site with a lot of info on the current hapoennings (just like Sulekha)

Satz,
My colleague recently built an entire system for about $350 (which includes a 320 GB hard disk). So if you look around, the price might just be right.

Sound Bar - My first time there. This one is in Downtown Chicago and had two dance floors. Their site says they have a desi resident DJ (Jay Prasad), didnt see him there though. Drink-wise nothing really outstanding, the same stuff that you get at all the other places. I usually go for my favorites - Bailey's and Heineken. And this time I tried the White Russian too (quite nice).
