Gmail's Lockdown in Sector 4!

My Gmail account's locked for a 24 hour period because of some unusually high activity!

Update: It seems like they have locked the access only from a specific IP. It seems to be working fine at my office.

You a lucky dude getting to see the USGP. Why don't you scan the ticket and post it, then we get to see a GP ticket.

Sebastian,
My third or fourth time to the USGP. I ordered it over the internet a few days back and havent got the ticket yet. I will do so once I get it in hand.

Satosphere,
It didnt happen for the account where I use GmailFS. It happenned for the account where I use my regular email and blogger comments. My usage has been just the same, so not sue what went wrong :-)

Hi Aberrant
Thank you! Geminis rock, dude!

Hello Mr.Narayanan
All new things are bound to have minor hiccups like this. Maybe there might have been a genuine hack attempt on my account which they could have prevented.

Also today I noticed that when I signed out of one of my Yahoo accounts to login to another one, it didnt actually sign me out! Imagine what could have happened if I had used it from a public place. I tried to sign out 4-5 times, although it said I had successfully signed out, it actually hadnt. The problem went away after 10 or so tries. Problems like these, happen with all of these free emails, the single most important quality that is necessary is how soon they fix these issues before it becomes a nuisance.

Praveen
Yeah, that could very well be a possibility.

I didn't know that Google does that. My account is fairly active too with several in and out mails everyday but I will watch out for this. Thanks.
