F1 Racing

Got the tickets to the Formula 1 Race at Indianapolis, USA on June 19. Got it in the J stand - one of the better stands which gives you an upclose look at the cars (and maybe the drivers too because of its proximity to a couple of turns), originally I wanted to get it in the H stand, but because of the delay in buying the tickets missed out on that. Also subscribed to Speed Channel with my Cable, now I can watch the F1 racing live on TV! Just watched the Bahrain F1 Race and Narain had to pull out of the race because of problems with his car. Micheal Schumacher also retired because of engine problems - Ferrari hasnt been doing good so far, this year. The spaniyard, Fernando Alonso, has won the race back-to-back and also has won a podium finish for the third time in succession.

Hey Jagan
You can go from www.usgpindy.com, or click on this link(https://imstix.brickyard.com/inettix/OnlineTicketing.aspx) directly. This will take you to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway ticketing site, scroll down a bit and you should see, US GrandPrix Tickets.

Hi Nupur
Staying so close to Albert Park, this must be a regular thing for you :-)
Yeah trying to keep with the Bollywood industry, you know :-)

Hi Cogito,
I really wouldnt care who wins when I go there in June. I really want to see Narain complete it in the top 6 spots. I am sure even the Top 6 spots are going to be super competitive, but if that happens, it will take the sport to new heights in India.

Chakra Gold,
Thank you! Ferrari got their F2005 for this Bahrain GP and had engine problems. It's been a good race so far for them. Maybe as you say Mike is ageing, let's wait and see some more of them, before we declare that :-)

PVS,
Thanks for visiting my blog. If you like it, please keep visiting and I will try not to disappoint. F1 is getting increased attention among desis because of Narain, hope he does well.

Praveen,
I agree, it will be really good if Ferrari comes back into the race. That way it will make it more competitive. I wasnt really following Alonso that much last year, although was following Ferrari for the past three or four years. It usually takes 3-4 races before the drivers actually get used to the new engines and the new regulations, so maybe starting next race at Imola, San Marino, things will improve.

Hi Krish,
Sorry I couldnt call you this weekend. Got a bit busy. Will call you sometime this week.

Hello Mr. Narayanan,
Actually I have heard otherwise, men in their 40s-50s usually buy expensive cars and take a fancy for fast cars (aka midlife crisis). I wasnt a big race car fun until about 3-4 years back. To me it's more of an acquired taste. I really got started liking this only after I went to the race in Indianapolis 4 years back.

Sat,
About 4 hours from here, but well the drive. Not a really big fan, just have too much time at hand :-)
