A Gemini and a twin, hence the site's name, twin-gemini. I am sure many would have faced this problem, maybe it's not too hard, let's see if some of us can sit together and figure something out for this. If it is a personal site, then it shouldnt be an issue, these pose an issue only with free sites like these, where you dont have too much flexibility.
The notifier certainly deserves a pat on the back :-)

Yes of course, if this were a personal site/domain, there would be no problem at all. Making it work within the Blogger framework is what complicates things. But I'm not giving up just yet!

Hi man,updated the dob...assumed the dob format as dd/mm/yy while it was mm/dd/yy..
and about sending back mails for ur comments in any blog...i guess we need to use server-side programs (ASP or PHP) stored in some other free servers to trigger mails..but theres one problem here...How will the system know the reply for a comment was for you and not for any body else...As a compromise,it can trigger mail to everyone who commented on that post...but that wont be proper.right?

Yeah one of those or something simple in Perl. The way I see it being implemented is, there should be an option while posting a comment, which one can check to say whether he/she wants to keep track of changes in that page. Once that is done, an email id should be collected from the user and then if any changes happen to that page, an email should be sent to him. That will be extremely cool, and will provide an incentive for the user who posted a comment to come back and check on what others thought about his comments or just to see any updates on this page. The whole thing is quite simple, just track changes in a single page and email people who have signed up for this service. I think all of these and much more cool stuff can be done if you own some server space. I think, I will start hunting for that soon.
Yes Anand,this appears fairly simple.Bloglet already has a service to trigger mails for new posts in a blog.For our requirement,we need to write a simple server-side program(say ASP,which should be placed in some free ASP webserver,say 1asphost.com), which triggers mail to all those who have subscibed to new comments service.I guess this can be done.We may also need a database or an XML file to store the email IDs.

Sangeeta : I see your point, but look at it this way. There are so many RSS Readers that come out each and every day, but still people do visit their favorite blogs on a regular basis. I doubt the introduction of RSS Readers has reduced the visitors to blogs - this is just a way to organize the chaos. In the same view, these emails are just going to let you know that some kind of update has happened in that post-page of interest and it's going to be an added incentive for the regular readers to come back and look at it. And certainly when you go to a grocery store, you just dont refill your milk cartons, you also buy Taj Mahal Chai, sugar, Good Day biscuits, Surf Detergent Powder, Cadbury's Milk Chocolate and the new commodity that you saw on TV (meaning, your visitors are not just going to come back for the comments but will also look for new posts)...if you are still not convinced, then we can put it on a pilot for a month and watch our visitor hits and see whether it gets affected. Since I a fairly new in this blogging world, I can volunteer to be the scapegoat :-)
