Ethernet over power lines

This is a tech post. Sometime back (maybe a year back) I was reading about Ethernet over Power lines, and now it is a reality. Netgear has a product and this one just went on sale at www.buy.com for about $30. Not that any household would need it at this point, as 802.11 (a/b/g) are almost ubiquitous in broadband-rich countries, but still it is a big leap in technology.
